Company Overview
BEDD is a technology company specializing in mobile social networking software. BEDD's business is to provide a fun easy way for people to make new friends.
BEDD officially began on 28 August 2001. Initially, we focused on the development of a standalone hardware device using Bluetooth Wireless Technology. In late 2002 we stopped hardware development and began integrating BEDD software to Bluetooth enabled Symbian S60 smartphones.
During 2003 and 2004 we had challenges of design and testing, and implementing feedback from many focus groups. We finally made a beta release for S60 phones in Singapore and Indonesia in May and Dec 2004, respectively.
During late 2004 to late 2005, funds were limited and momentum was lost in both development and marketing. After revising our direction and plans, we raised funds and started progressing again with our current team in Estonia and Singapore.
In September 2005, with partners Nokia and PLUS, BEDD software was launched in Indonesia. The software was pre-installed in approx 30,000 phones (Nokia 6600 and Nokia 7610) and made available through Nokia Partner Channels.
Thanks to the efforts of all our partners, we now have 260,000 users in more than 110 countries. This number continues growing, as more people learn about and enjoy using the software.
During early 2006 to mid 2007, we added a GPRS server system enabling users to interact with each other from any location. BEDD Internet was officially launched on 1 June 2007. BEDD software now seamlessly combines the best of both worlds – Bluetooth Wireless Technology and the Internet.
The Bluetooth features, searching automatically within proximity, enable people to match and meet immediately. The Internet features, leveraging the power and ubiquity of a data connection with the World Wide Web, enable people to match and meet new friends in any location.

We will soon launch BEDDads. BEDDads will enable companies and individuals to promote their products and services. Targeted ads will reach BEDD users in any demographic and location.
BEDDads will provide a non-intrusive and non-spamming yet value added way to reach the most viewed communications medium in the world - the mobile phone.
